Pedro Jimenez
President / Re-recording Mixer

Pedro moved from Cuba to California in 1985. Five years later, he began his journey in entertainment at Hollywood Recording Services, where he found himself fascinated with the art of mixing. After several rewarding years as a re-recording mixer, working with advertising agencies and television networks, Pedro gravitated toward motion picture advertising. His tenure at Jacobs and Gerber (later, Creative Domain) propelled him to continued success in post-production sound with SSI-Advance Post Services, Technicolor-Complete Sound, Todd-AO Studios and Martell Sound.

Today, Pedro is one of the film industry's most sought-after mixers. While specializing in theatrical trailers, he works on a wide variety of formats including television commercials, feature films, documentary films, and video games. Over his eighteen-year career, Pedro has been privileged to work on many great films and meet so many amazing and talented people - directors, producers, studio executives, screenwriters, editors, composers, sound designers, and many more.

Some of his recent campaigns include The Bourne Legacy, The Expendables 2, Battleship, Sherlock Holmes 2, Snow White and the Huntsman, Real Steel, Happy Feet 2, Brave, The Devil's Double, Killer Elite, The Help, The Flowers of War and War Horse.

As President of Benchmark, Pedro oversees every aspect of the operation including strategic direction, client relations and customer service. As Re-recording Mixer, he translates the creative visions of his clients into audio/visual experiences that capture audiences throughout the world. In both roles, his attention to detail helps set Benchmark apart as a leader in sound quality and unparalleled client service.

When not immersed in fine-tuning a mix, Pedro enjoys sailing and spending quality time with his son and first mate, Sebastian.
